Monuments Men will tell the stories of some of the Northport heroes who fought for their country. Many of these men and women are now memorialized on monuments placed around Northport’s main business district and in the parks.
We are seeking information, stories, and/or artifacts that could help us in researching these monument heroes, who served during and/or died in the major US conflicts from the Revolutionary War through to the present time (Civil War, WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraqi/Enduring Freedom). Items such as letters, photographs, films, artifacts, oral histories, uniforms, medals, and certificates relating to these brave soldiers will be valuable additions to the exhibit.
If you think you can help, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please put the name of your item or the topic of your story in the subject line of the message, and please include a description of the item and any photos of it if you have them. We won’t be able to accept every item that is offered for donation or loan, but we will review everything based on exhibit needs and respond to you.
