20th Century Mirrored in Fashion and Events
Take a trip through the 20th century and look at fashions as a reflection of the specific events that shaped them. Period fashions, photos and text walk visitors through time and give insight into the context of fashion. Museum Main Gallery, 215 Main Street, Northport. Tuesdays-Sundays, 1:00-4:30 p.m. A donation of $3 per person is suggested.
A self-guided walking tour
NEW FOR 2009:
A self-guided walking tour of Northport's Historic Main Street is now available in our Museum Shop at a cost of $5 per person. Tour-goers will be equipped with an MP3 player containing audio information, a book of historic photographs and directions for their use. The tour is available during regular museum hours, Tuesdays-Sundays from 1-4:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 12th -- THHP Fundraiser
Join us for brunch and a matinee performance of Crazy for You at the John Engeman Theater, Main Street, Northport. Brunch begins at 12:30 p.m. and the musical follows at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $75, of which $20 is tax-deductible. Please call the Society's office at 631-757-9859 to purchase tickets or mail your check, made payable to Northport Historical Society and marked theater tickets, to Northport Historical Society, P.O. Box 545, Northport, NY 11768. The Town of Huntington Historical Partnership (THHP) is a consortium of heritage organizations dedicated to preserving the Town's history while exploring common challenges and solutions.

Join us for an entertaining and informative guided walking tour of Northport's historic business district. Using photos from our collection and a true gift for storytelling, your guide will make Main Street's past come alive. Tickets may be purchased the day of the tour in the Museum Shop at a cost of $5 per person. The tour group meets at 1:30 p.m. on the front steps of our Musuem, 215 Main Street, Northport.

A special event for individuals aged 23-35 featuring a guided walking tour of Main Street followed by wine and cheese at the Museum, 215 Main Street in the village of Northport. The event runs from 7:00-9:00 p.m. For more information, check out the CLIO CIRCLE on Facebook.

A fun-filled, not-to-be-missed evening of bargain hunting and camaraderie with the excitement of auction, featuring unique items and services going under the hammer to benefit the Society.
